I see random photos
After you first setup the app it may take some time to search and display relevant photos. Typically this takes 10 minutes or less, but could be longer if you have a large number of photos or your wifi connection is weak.
Do I need to organize my photos on my home computer?
No. They can be all in a single directory or organized however you wish. The app will find them either way.
Does the app download my photos?
Only some in order to keep displaying photos. By default, it will download up to 10 photos. This setting can be adjusted by in the menu (long press on photo) -> Settings -> # of Photos to Cache. If you have dedicated a tablet to being a full time frame we suggest you set this to 50 or 100.
Does the app modify my photos at all?
Absolutely not. The app connects in read only mode to your photo server. Photos are re-sized on the tablet itself as needed, but the originals are not modified in any way.
How can I prevent certain photos from being displayed?
Multiple “family friendly” features are supported to ensure you display only the photos you wish
Block photos before a certain time. Menu (long press on photo) -> Photo Date Limit -> Choose year. For example, setting this to 2001 means that only photos taken in 2001 or later will be shown. Photos taken in 2000 or prior will not be shown.
You can also ignore photos from the frame. While you see the photo to ignore, tap the screen so the photo will stay for 30 seconds, Then bring up the menu (long press on photo) -> Don\’t show this photo again. This will not modify the photo on the server
How do I open up the menu?
Long press on any photo.
I dont see all of the photos I should.
The app requires that photos have an EXIF or IPTC date embedded in them to figure out when they were taken. Digital cameras and photos have automatically included this data for many years, so chances are most of your photos already have it.
Can I move between photos?
Not at the moment. Please contact us at the bottom of this page if you want this feature or any others!
How do I remove the ads?
Long press on a photo to open the menu -> Remove Ads
